ARMS Celebrates its First National Research Administrator Day
National Research Administrator Day is observed annually in the United States on the 25thof September. It was initiated by the National Council of University Research Administrators, a sister association of ARMS, to ensure one day is dedicated to reflect upon the important contributions made by Research Administrators and Managers to the national research and innovation system.
Incoming ARMS President, Janice Besch said,
“I am delighted that ARMS will be joining our US counterparts in celebrating its first National Research Administrator Day. Research Administrators and Managers make such a significant contribution to the research endeavor and I am thrilled that we now officially dedicate one day to reflect upon the importance of this rapidly expanding global profession”.
“I encourage you this Friday to host a morning tea, barbeque or stop for a quiet drink, to thank your staff for all the good work that they do”.
To help celebrate, ARMS will be giving away two bottles of Moet. To enter your organisation in the draw, please submit a short feature article with photos which demonstrates how the day was celebrated. Articles and photos must be submitted to the ARMS Executive Office by no later than the 8th of October. The winner will be announced on the 12th of October in our e-newsletter, Up In ARMS.
