UK Study Tour

Registration Now Open

We are pleased to provide final details of the UK Study Tour in the attached Information Brochure. The tour includes attendance at the annual ARMA conference in Liverpool, site visits and discussions with several universities, the National Centre for Universities and Business and attendance at an executive forum with senior UK Research Office staff. Universities have been chosen to reflect a variety of engagement and impact perspectives, including large, regional and technological institutions. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn from our UK colleagues!

To confirm your place on this Study Tour you will need to complete the details in the attached Terms and Conditions document and return this to admin_officer@researchmanagement.org.au as soon as possible with the nominated deposit. Participants will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis. We recognise that some university finance systems can take time to process deposit transfers, so are happy to receive the signed Terms and Conditions documents ahead of deposits - however, finances should be settled by the due dates outlined in the terms document.

It is possible for spouse/partners to participate in this tour - please contact us if you wish to discuss this option.

The Study Tour will afford a unique opportunity to learn from UK institutions as they analyse results from the 2014 REF exercise and plan for the forthcoming 2020/2021 assessment exercise. The tour will also follow immediately after the Australian EIAP Trial and so will allow participants opportunity to discuss their institution's approaches with each other and with UK colleagues.

We look forward to welcoming you on this 2017 Study Tour - senior participants on a similar 2015 tour remarked that it was the best professional development that they had undertaken - this tour promises to be the same.
