ARMS NSW Chapter - HDR Administrator's Best Practice Workshop
The HDR Administrator's Best Practice Workshop is intended to offer professional staff the opportunity to meet and foster a community of best practice in the HDR administration and research training space. The workshop will enable inter-university knowledge sharing structured around four best practice showcases and two guest speakers as well as providing networking opportunities with other professional staff. The workshop will also increase awareness about ARMS, given that HDR management has recently been incorporated into its scope.

Time: 9am to 1pm - morning tea will be served

Date: Monday 25th September, 2017

Location: Abercrombie Business School, Seminar Room 3200, University of Sydney.

Post ARMS Conference Workshop

ARMS NSW Chapter - Post ARMS Conference Workshop
"Funding Research - Drawing on the Power of Collaboration" - summary of key themes presented at ARMS 2017 and implications for NSW research managers.

Macquarie University will be hosting a workshop following the ARMS Conference being held in Wellington NZ, 26-29th September. The purpose of the event is to provide all NSW ARMS members with insight into the major themes and outcomes of the conference, as well as provide further insights into building large-scale collaborations across universities, industry and government.

The workshop will be opened by Prof Sakkie Pretorius, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research at Macquarie University, followed by two presentations by travel award winners  who attending the Wellington Conference. In addition, there will be speakers from across the research management profession who will provide insights into the theme, Drawing on the Power of Collaboration, who did not present in Wellingtong. These incoude Dr Lisa Yen (Chief Operating Officer, ARC Centre of Excellence in Cognition and its Disorders) and Ms Dawn Routledge (Executive Director, Policy and Innovation, NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation).

Time: 11am to 1.30pm - 11am morning tea and networking, 11.35am workshop start
