Senior Advisor, Research Grant Development, College of Science, Engineering and Health
Dr Fraser Rogerson holds the position of Senior Advisor, Research Grant Development in the College of Science, Engineering and Health at RMIT University. His major role is to assist researchers find and apply for competitive grant funding. He works closely with applicants to help them craft high-quality research proposals, organises and presents seminars and workshops that provide information and advice on applying to a range of funding schemes, and analyses competitive grant applications and outcomes to assist academic leadership in planning and strategy.
Fraser started in research management over six years ago after a long and successful career as a biomedical researcher, working in both Australia and the United States. Highlights of his research include determining the cause of a rare and fatal form of hypertension in children, and identifying the enzyme that degrades cartilage in arthritis.
