Michelle is a confident and engaging presenter with much public speaking experience. She has qualifications in management and information systems. Her experience working for the Federal Government and developing higher education policy has afforded Michelle key insights into the National Research and Innovation System in Australia. Furthermore, her expertise regarding research performance data collection processes, analytics, reporting and research information management systems ensures she is a qualified presenter of the Research Data and Analytics module within the ARMS Accreditation Program.As the Manager, Research Analytics, Systems and Performance at Edith Cowan University (ECU), Michelle is responsible for the University’s ERA and HERDC submissions, research management systems, research policy development, reviews of research centres and research performance evaluation, reward and reporting. Prior to working at ECU, Michelle was the Associate Director of Research Evaluation at the Australian Research Council, directly involved in developing the ERA policy, guidelines and SEER system development. Before working for the Government, she occupied the position of the Senior Policy Officer for the Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN).
Michelle is currently holds the Treasurer position on the ARMS Board.
