Overview
Research Services at Edith Cowan University has recently undergone renewal to continue to provide outstanding support to the University’s growing research community.

We are looking to recruit to the position of Manager Research Governance, someone with energy and enthusiasm to lead the Governance team. Reporting to the Director, Research Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing development and implementation of effective research governance frameworks and practices to ensure that the university’s research is conducted with scientific quality, is ethically responsible and according to accepted responsible conduct of research practices. You will lead a team with responsibility for research integrity, research ethics and researcher professional development

We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape that covers research in Australia and who preferably has research experience in a leadership role.  The successful applicant will also need to have the leadership skills to manage staff, build a team and implement continuous improvement across the services they deliver.

To be successful in this role you will need:
•    Relevant experience in a similar role in higher education, government or the research sector;
•    Demonstrated experience in successfully managing a team;
•    Extensive experience with policies and processes associated with institutional governance and funding, including research grants;
•    A strong understanding of best practice research integrity and ethics;
•    A good understanding of platforms used to capture research data;
•    Experience in the development and implementation of professional development programs for researchers;
•    Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), effectively reaching all stakeholders.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time ongoing position attracts remuneration of $118,777 to $124,214 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
