The Griffith Graduate Research School (GGRS) is the dedicated point of contact for all Higher Degree by Research candidates and governs the strategic direction for the Higher Degree by Research (HDR) agenda at Griffith University.
GGRS works closely with academic elements, groups, research centres and institutes in maintaining quality standards of recruitment, admission, candidature management, education and assessment of Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates through the thesis examination process.
The opportunity
The Team Leader is part of the HDR Operations team, will be based in the GGRS at either the Nathan or Gold Coast campus and also be prepared to work remotely. The principle objective of this position is to lead the GGRS admission and candidature team in the delivery of efficient, high quality client focussed administrative services pertaining to HDR admission and candidature. The focus of this role is to provide day-to-day management of the team, as well as to actively develop and implement strategies to streamline online business systems and processes. The role holder works under the broad direction of the Senior Manager, HDR Governance and Operations.
This is a fixed term (approx. 14 months), full-time position based at the Nathan or Gold Coast campus.
About you
The successful candidate will be a client-focused individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to foster strong stakeholder relationships. You will have completed a degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience, education and training. You will have demonstrated experience of utilising student systems and enhancing business processes and systems to achieve operational outcomes. Your knowledge of HDR matters and ability to manage a team of staff will be highly regarded. It is expected that the position will work under limited supervision so the appointee will require the ability to work independently and to exercise individual judgement in undertaking responsibilities.
Salary range
HEW 7: $85,914 - $93,078 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $100,519 - $108,901 per annum.
