About the position
The Manager, Contracts and Legal Services is a critically important position at Menzies that enables our health and medical research work to improve health outcomes and save lives.
As the Manager, Contracts and Legal Services, you will be responsible for leading and delivering efficient and high quality research and commercial contracting services for Menzies.
Operating as an expert in the contracts space, you will provide clear leadership and advice to your team and colleagues across Menzies. You will display excellent contract negotiation skills and experience working in complex environments.
This position will also be responsible for managing a range of legal services, as they arise, across the organisation.
About you
- Thrive on timely, successful contract negotiations with an appreciation that your role is essential to enable Menzies’ work, whilst managing risk
- Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and executing contracts, with the ability to resolve complex legal contractual issues
- Superior communication skills
- Value working with and supporting a high performing collaborative team
- Experience managing and driving transformation and continuous improvement
- Highly developed professional negotiation, influencing and relationship building skills with stakeholders, collaborators, and clients
- Think critically and use expert judgement when undertaking complex tasks

- Attractive salary package and benefits $151,870 - $163,116 salary package (comprising gross salary $123,056 - $132,434, superannuation and salary packaging benefits).
