The Opportunity
If you are interested in working within a highly successful Faculty, based at our beautiful campus in Parkville across from Royal Park, and enjoying the benefits of working in a top 100 university, then we look forward to hearing from you!
In your new position of Research and Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management, development, implementation, and review of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science’s research strategy, working in collaboration with the Manager, Research and Graduate Research and key senior internal stakeholders to increase research performance and meet Faculty, University and national research objectives.
You will lead highly specialised project management activities to ensure that the faculty’s current and future research activities are strategic, efficient and effective, and that appropriate policy and governance structures are developed and implemented to support all aspects of research administration such as the research training function, research data management, and reporting.
Additionally, you will take a partnership approach to working closely with faculty researchers, coordinating and managing the faculty's grant development activities and collaborating with senior research leaders in the faculty on grant and funding opportunities, and other initiatives to enhance faculty research performance and grant outcomes.
You will utilise your strengths in communication, stakeholder engagement and project management, and experience in process re-engineering and grant and contract management in this diverse position. Your previous exposure to MRFF and NHMRC funding schemes, and the ability to understand technical concepts to enable connections will ensure your success here. Discipline-specific knowledge in medical/scientific research topics, whilst not essential would also be highly regarded.
