The increasing emphasis on the societal relevance and practical application of research means that the demonstration of research impact has become a strategic priority for most (if not all) universities. In this session you’ll learn about the key concepts and context of research impact, and hear about how research management professionals working in diverse areas such as grant support, ethics, compliance, communications and industry partnerships can contribute positively to research impact and engagement initiatives.
Hosted by the NSW ARMS Chapter and Catherine McElhone (ARMS Research Impact SIG and UTS), this hybrid event will feature short presentations by Katrina Trewin (University of Western Sydney) and Professor Bronwyn Hemsley (UTS) followed by a panel discussion around the intersection of research management and research impact support. |
