Senior Research Officer
· An exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Officer to support various research requirements across the School of Rural Health
· Located in Orange (preferred) or Dubbo within the School of Rural Health, part of the faculty of Medicine and Health
· Full-time, fixed term until December 2021 (subject to ongoing funding), with a starting base salary of $95Kp.a., plus leave loading and a generous employer’s contribution to superannuation.
About the opportunity
Reporting to Associate Professor – Rural Health, the Senior Research Officer will provide technical knowledge and project management support to senior research academics and the research team. This will include actively leading and contributing to research activities, designing research protocols, and undertaking critical aspects of research work including formation of analysis and key findings of the ongoing Graduate Tracking Project.

· tertiary qualifications in an appropriate health or health-related discipline with relevant experience undertaking complex health projects, involving research analysis and reporting
· extensive experience in developing and working on research projects, including expertise in using research protocols, experimental design, ethics submissions, literature searches, publication preparation and grant applications
· knowledge of the higher education research data collection and ethics reporting requirements
· financial management experience and literacy, experience managing budgets and controlling income and expenditure
· the ability to analyse complex data and create and interpret outputs using relevant statistical packages and databases.
Travel between sites is a requirement of this role and some out of hours work may also be required.
