The Manager, Grants Development is a key contributor in shifting the culture towards a greater level of research intensity at Western Sydney University, developing our researchers and Research Services staff to deliver growing success in the competitive research grant space. The role is responsible for reviewing and preparing collaborative research proposals and agreements, providing detailed advice on contract research and proposals for research, and ensuring these are compliant with the specifications of the relevant funding body prior to submission.
The Manager, Grants Development provides strategic advice, reporting and assistance to internal and external stakeholders regarding competitive research funding proposals, grants and bids. This includes significant and effective interaction with the Pro Vice-Chancellor Research, broader University staff and across the sector. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, consultation and problem solving abilities, including demonstrated experience developing and managing high performing teams, fostering a high level of team morale to produce positive results. The candidate should demonstrate strong project management skills, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and tight deadlines in high volume environments.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based at the Penrith campus.
Remuneration Package: HEW Level 9 $139,890 to $149,392 p.a. (comprising Salary of $118,209 to $126,238 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
