Grahame has extensive experience in research management and administration in a university environment. He has worked in university sector since at a number of small, medium and large institutions since 1993 and has been involved in research since 2003. He has worked closely with other key areas of the university business including human resources, finance, student and the institutional planning office and understands the importance of data collection, quality, management and reporting both internally and externally to help set and guide the research agenda. Areas of responsibility within research administration have included governance and policy, grants and contracts (pre and post award), researcher compliance, ethics (animal and human), data collection and reporting (including publications).
Grahame has been on a number of government advisory panels and has run many sector wide sessions on key changes on external compliance reporting including the ERA, SRE and the HERDC. He has a solid grasp on the research environment, influencing factor at both a national and international level.
Grahame is an active ARMS member having served on the Executive and NSW Chapter as well as the Marketing Committee.
