Roy Sneddon (MHlthAdmn BGenSt DipBus ARMSF) is a past Convenor of the SA Chapter Committee, previously having served on the committee as Secretary and a long-standing ARMS member. As an independent freelancing research administrator, Roy provides a range of consultancy and contract work, in a broad portfolio of Research Administration covering grant administration, HDR student support, research finance, corporate services, Postaward contract and business management in both the University and Government sectors, having previous experience with the University of Adelaide, UniSA, Flinders University, the Hanson Institute and the Joanna Briggs Institute. Roy has been actively involved in academic management since 1997.
Roy completed his Masters Degree in Health Administration (Flinders) with a project titled “Resolving the impact of value differences between hospital-based Researchers and Administrators: a Lean Thinking process review of competitive grant administration”, which won both the Australasian College of Health Service Management SA Prize for best paper, and the SA Health - Health Administration Award. Prior to this his BGenSt degree (Griffith) included studies in Commercial Law and Business Administration.
