2019 Winter School ElectiveRESEARCH GOVERNANCE
9 AM - 5 PM, Tuesday 18 JuneThe Research governance module will be of particular interest to ARMS members from medical research institutes, hospitals, persons managing health and medical research and those involved in university research governance/responsible conduct of research roles. Facilitated by Dr Jodi Glading, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Health Professional Policy and Advisory Services Group, Department of Health and Human Services, Tasmania, this module will cover national developments in research governance but will have a particular focus on development of research governance frameworks within and across institutions.Registration closes COB Friday 17 May 2019
The Winter School has no formal pre-requisites. The electives are intended for:
Elective FeesARMS Members: $700 per elective (GST inclusive)
- Mid-senior level research management staff
- ARMFs - ARMS Accredited Research Managers (Foundation)
- Anyone interested in developing a deep, practical understanding of the topics featured in the 2019 Program
Non-Members: $800 per elective (GST inclusive)
The cost for each elective includes participation in the workshop, a compendium of workshop notes and an assessment. Participants will be required to cover any additional costs associated with attendance including accommodation, travel and other incidentals. Catering and refreshments are provided for each elective.
2019 Advanced Level Accreditation Cohort Members: Current Advanced Level cohort members do not need to register for these electives. The cost of two electives is included in your program fee. ARMS WINTER SCHOOL ELECTIVE CANCELLATION POLICY
Should your circumstances change and you are unable to attend an ARMS elective, you must contact firstname.lastname@example.org by no later than 30 working days prior to the commencement of the scheduled event. ARMS will refund the full registration fee minus any administrative fees. Should you cancel less than 30 working days prior to the commencement of the ARMS event, no refund will be payable but instead you may wish to send a proxy.
ARMS reserve the right to cancel, postpone or re-schedule courses and events due to minimum numbers not being reached or for other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, ARMS will aim to advise all participants in writing three (3) weeks prior to the scheduled event (where possible) and will refund the full registration fee including administrative charges within 30 days after notification.
Please note, individuals needing to arrange flights and accommodation for attendance to an ARMS event do so at their own discretion. It is highly recommended that travel insurance be taken out by the individual. We also strongly advise that you contact our office if you are need to arrange flights and accommodation to obtain an update on event numbers prior to making your booking.
