Dr Junna Hayashi has 4+ years of experience in tertiary research administration, development and management, holding positions at the Australian National University and the University of Queensland. At present, she is the Senior Research Development Officer of the Griffith University Disrupting Violence Beacon, a research initiative encompassing international partnerships and interdisciplinary collaborations aimed to understand and respond to violence in all forms.

Junna was drawn to the Research Management profession because of its invaluable role in supporting and enabling researchers to advance the understanding of and find solutions to pressing local, national, and global problems.  

Junna enjoys being part of the ARMS community and is currently the secretary of the ARMS Queensland, Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea Chapter. She is passionate about enabling multidisciplinary research, raising the status and professionalism of Research Management Professionals, and showcasing the diversity of careers and pathways in the Research Management space.

Finally, Junna was awarded a PhD from the Australian National University, and has prior teaching experience at the Australian Catholic University.
