Deb completed a Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) at Flinders University in 1996 and worked for a period of time as a Technical Officer in Soil Microbiology. She then headed to the UK, where she undertook a number of administrative roles while on the Australian right of passage working holiday. On her return in 2005 she started working at the University of South Australia, managing to combine her love of being ‘around’ the research environment with her skills in administration. She’s worked in a number of roles at UniSA since then, and is currently Team Leader: Research Administration in UniSA Allied Health & Human Performance. Deb enjoys assisting researchers and research degree students navigate the challenges of University systems, helping to smooth the administrative bumps so they can focus on their research activities.
