Anthea is a Research Funding Officer in the Post-Award Team at the University of Adelaide and has over eight years’ experience in research management roles. During her undergrad, Anthea worked as a casual administrative assistant for a research group based at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Then, after obtaining a First Class Honours in Health and Medical Science from the University of Adelaide, Anthea worked at Bellberry Limited in human research ethics before joining Research Services at the University of Adelaide in 2022. At the University of Adelaide, she has had roles in health and medical grant management, human research ethics and now post-award, with a focus on drafting and processing variations for all research disciplines. Anthea brings high level skills in contract management and negotiation, research compliance and ethics and academic editing for grants and is a passionate advocate for streamlining research management and bridging the gap between academics and professional staff.
