Lisa Simmons is an accomplished tertiary education manager with over 20 years of experience in the sector and the last decade in various aspects of research management. As the Executive Manager, Faculty Research Operations in the Research Services Office at the University of Wollongong, she is responsible for overseeing the delivery of research services to all of the University's faculties.
Before joining the Research Services Office, Lisa held a number of senior positions in faculty administration, including international and professional accreditation, rankings, academic school and research management, as well as other central University administrative roles. Her extensive experience in the sector has enabled her to develop a strong understanding of the complex and multifaceted challenges that universities face.
Lisa serves as the Chair of the University's WHS Committee and is an advocate for professional staff through internal and external advisory groups.
Lisa has been an active member of Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) since 2016. In 2023, she joined ARMS NSW Chapter Committee as a committee member.
