Najwa has broad research experience in both the university and in the not-for-profit sector within Australia. She is currently working at a leading aged care not-for-profit organisation as a research governance specialist and research integrity advisor. Najwa was awarded her doctorate at the University of New England and has a background in Health Science. She has a passion for promoting good research culture and practice and ensuring a high standard of research integrity and responsible research stewardship. Najwa supports researchers through the hurdles of research governance regulatory compliance throughout the entire research project trajectory.
With a background in research herself, she has been involved in a diverse range of research projects related to healthcare decision-making and positive ageing, ageing in place, ageing and homelessness, reablement, rehabilitation, dementia care, pain management and palliative/end of life care across residential aged care facilities, hospitals, and in community.
