ARMS Research Information and Reporting SIG Event: Research Outputs Verification Automation - 31 May 2023
ARMS Research Information and Reporting Special Interest Group Event: Research Outputs Verification Automation
The collection and verification of research outputs data is a core business activity that underpins internal and external reporting. The ARMS RIR SIG invites you to this session where several institutions will talk through their approach to adding automation to their outputs verification activities (from minimalist to more intensive). We will discuss motivations and intentions for continued annual research output collections in a post compliance ERA.
Further, some universities have developed rule-based acceptance and decline schemas and have applied them to their systems and processes. An open question will be posed to attendees about whether a sector-wide, system agnostic rule set could be collaboratively developed and maintained. The second half of the session will be a more open community discussion about whether there is interest and capacity to develop this approach over 2023.
The session will be facilitated by Michelle Duryea, RIR SIG Convenor from Edith Cowan University (Fellow of ARMS). The list of presenters include:
- Zhanna Shldenova, Senior Analyst, Research Data and Reporting, Griffith University
- Bethany Cave, Research Support Officer, Systems and Data, Griffith University
- Scott McWhirter, Executive Manager, Research Knowledge and Insights, University of Technology Sydney
- Dr Ivan Silva Ferauld, API Analyst, University of Technology Sydney
- Dr Anupom Roy, National Research Assessments Coordinator, Macquarie University
