NZ and the Pacific Islands Chapter Event: Proposing and Managing Research Projects in Tight Times - 6 November 2024
Research systems around the world, but especially in Aotearoa New Zealand, continue to face tight financial circumstances. With funding levels not keeping pace with inflation and still having important research that has to be done, research managers and researchers are increasingly challenged to find ways to do research within the limited funds available to us.
This panel discussion will be an opportunity to learn from the experience and insights of three senior research managers, pick up some tips for planning and running research projects with tight budgets, and appreciate the benefits and disadvantages of different ways of saving cost in research.
