ARMS NETWORKING EVENTS IN AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND

Join the ARMS NZ/Pacific Islands Chapter for networking events in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch in mid-August 2023!

Each event will start with a 50-minute panel discussion on Te Ara Paerangi Future Pathways, its direction and progress so far, and how Research Management Professionals (as well as researchers) can contribute to shaping an effective RSI system to support NZ’s future. This will be followed by a welcome and brief introduction to ARMS by President, Dr Tania Bezzobs, and then networking, drinks and nibbles with research management colleagues from around each region.

Programme

4pm: Panel Discussion: Te Ara Paerangi Future Pathways

The multi-year Te Ara Paerangi Programme is focused on the future of New Zealand’s research, science and innovation system. This panel discussion will explore where the National Research Priority process is going, and the opportunities and challenges involved in all of these initiatives. Our panellists, from MBIE and research institutions, will share their insights on how the signalled changes may affect research management, and how research managers can contribute to shaping an effective RSI system.

5pm: ARMS Networking Event

Welcome and brief introduction by Dr Tania Bezzobs, ARMS President,  followed by networking, drinks and nibbles with research management colleagues from around each region.
