Victorian ARMS Chapter - Managing Foreign Engagements in Research in the Contemporary Climate
The ARMS Victorian Chapter invites you to attend this session that will explore contemporary challenges associated with managing foreign partnerships in research funding, with two short presentations, one from a University perspective and the other from the perspective of a national funding body. In particular, the discussion will explore challenges relating to foreign interference and preparations for the Foreign Arrangements Scheme.
Due to the impact of COVID restrictions, the session will now be presented entirely as a virtual meeting.

The speakers will be:
Dr Sevilla Furness-Holland, Due Diligence Coordinator, The University of Melbourne: UoM’s experience in implementing preparations for the Foreign Arrangements Scheme.
Dr Kylie Emery, Australian Research Council, Branch Manager, Grants Due Diligence Taskforce: the processes implemented by the ARC to address foreign interference, and current related activity.
There will be the opportunity for questions after each presentation.
